Corey Harrison, the longtime “Pawn Stars” cast member known affectionately to fans as Big Hoss, is recovering in a hospital after a serious crash in Tulum, Mexico that left him with multiple injuries including 11 broken ribs and bruises across his face and body.
Friends, fans, and followers first learned about the incident on January 26, 2026, when Corey posted photos from his hospital bed on Instagram. In the images, his face was visibly bruised and scraped, and X-rays showed the extent of the rib damage. He captioned the post with an honest and straightforward note to fans: “Pretty messed up, but I’m good. Crash bars are awesome. 3 nights in the hospital, 11 breaks in my rib cage.”

Despite the severity of his injuries, Corey’s tone stayed upbeat in his message. He reassured people that he was okay and even teased that he would talk about the accident in more detail on his own podcast, The Corey Harrison Show.
The crash also came with a personal blow: Harrison confirmed he won’t be able to attend his father’s upcoming wedding celebrations. His dad, Pawn Stars co-star Rick Harrison, recently tied the knot in Las Vegas in a fun ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator earlier this month. There was supposed to be a larger wedding celebration in Cancun, where Corey had been expected to participate before the crash sidelined him.
While Corey didn’t share exact details about how the crash happened, his reference to “crash bars” suggests it involved a motorcycle or a similar vehicle. Crash bars are safety features often seen on motorcycles that can help protect riders during a fall.
Fans quickly flooded the comments on his post with messages of concern, encouragement, and support. Many praised his positivity in the face of a tough situation and wished him a steady recovery.
This isn’t Harrison’s first brush with injury on the road. In the past, he’s had other motorcycle-related incidents, including a notable crash in 2014 that resulted in a broken hand.
For now, Harrison is focused on healing, staying grounded, and sharing his story in his own voice when he’s ready — something fans are eager to hear.
