Robert Harper, Blytheville: 23-Year-Old Shot Multiple Times on N Tennessee Street — Three Suspects Still on the Run

A young man who hadn’t even seen his mid-twenties lost his life in broad daylight in Blytheville, Arkansas, and right now, the three men believed to be responsible are still out there somewhere. Robert Harper, just 23 years old, was gunned down on May 16, 2026, in the 600 block of N Tennessee Street, and what happened to him has shaken the community to its core.

Officers from the Blytheville Police Department rushed to the scene after calls started flooding in about a shooting in the area. When they got there, they found Harper on the ground, hit by multiple gunshot wounds. It wasn’t a pretty sight. He was rushed over to Great River Medical Center, where doctors and nurses did what they could, but Robert Harper didn’t make it. He was pronounced dead from his injuries, leaving behind a community in shock and a family with a hole in it that nobody can fill.

Robert was 23. That’s barely old enough to have figured out what life is supposed to look like. He was young, and now he’s gone. And the worst part? The people responsible for taking his life are still out there walking free, and that’s something that’s been sitting heavy on a lot of people in Blytheville since the news broke.

Investigators wasted no time. After digging into the case, authorities came up with arrest warrants for three suspects — 21-year-old Devontae Williams, 18-year-old Adarius Williams, and 18-year-old Jayden Williams. Three names. Three warrants. And so far, not a single one of them has been brought in. Police haven’t said much about what triggered the shooting or what kind of beef, if any, led to Harper being killed that afternoon. The case is still very much alive, and detectives are working it hard.

What makes this all the more painful is just how young everyone involved is. The victim was 23. Two of the three suspects are only 18. One is 21. These are not old men with long criminal histories. These are young people, and one of them ended up dead while three others are now on the run facing serious charges. It’s the kind of situation that makes you stop and think real hard about what’s going wrong on these streets.

Robert Harper deserved better than what he got on that Friday afternoon in May. His family deserves answers. And the people of Blytheville deserve to feel safe on their own streets. Right now, none of that is happening the way it should. The suspects are still out there, and every day they stay free is another day justice is delayed for a 23-year-old who can no longer speak for himself.

The Blytheville Police Department is asking anyone who knows something to step up and say something. If you know where Devontae Williams, Adarius Williams, or Jayden Williams are hiding out, or if you saw anything on N Tennessee Street that day, the police need to hear from you. Robert Harper’s story didn’t have to end this way. But now that it has, the least anyone can do is help make sure the people responsible face what’s coming to them.
