Milo Corll, Cranberry Township: Missing Motorcyclist Found Dead Two Days After I-79 Crash

What started as a quiet early morning ride ended in heartbreak along a dark stretch of Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Authorities say 35-year-old Milo Corll lost his life in a motorcycle crash that went unnoticed for nearly two full days before police finally discovered the wreckage hidden off the roadway.

According to Pennsylvania State Police and the Butler County Coroner’s Office, Corll was riding his Harley-Davidson on the northbound entrance ramp from Route 228 toward I-79 around 2 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators said he suddenly lost control while traveling along the curved ramp near mile marker 78.

Troopers believe the motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into a heavily wooded area filled with saplings and thick brush. The impact threw Corll from the bike while the motorcycle continued moving before eventually stopping farther down the embankment on the southern side of the ramp.

Police said Corll was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Because the wreck happened deep in the foliage and away from passing traffic, nobody spotted the crash site for days.

It was not until around 9:30 Thursday morning that law enforcement officers located both Corll and the damaged motorcycle hidden off the ramp. The discovery stunned many in the Cranberry Township area, especially after learning the crash had happened nearly 48 hours earlier without being noticed.

Investigators later reviewed surveillance footage from a nearby business to help determine exactly when the crash occurred. The video reportedly confirmed the motorcycle crash happened early Tuesday morning. State police continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the deadly wreck, though officials have not released additional details.

The tragic accident has left many people shaken across the local community. Friends and neighbors are mourning a man whose final moments unfolded in silence beside one of the region’s busiest highways. For many, the most painful part of the story is knowing Corll remained undiscovered for two days just beyond the sight of thousands of passing drivers.
