Police officers rushed to a home located on South Fork Street on Thursday. The house sits in the Valley View subdivision in the southwest part of the city. Inside, they found a grim scene waiting for them.


Danielle Finnicum was only 52 years old. She was found dead inside the residence she shared with her husband. Her life ended abruptly from a gunshot wound.
Right there with her was her husband, Gary Finnicum. He was 63 years old. He was also deceased from a gunshot wound when the authorities entered the home.
The Cody Police Department broke the news on Friday afternoon. They are treating the case as an apparent murder-suicide. Investigators stated they are not looking for any other suspects.
