The folks over in the Cypress Cove area of Wilmington are dealing with a heavy dose of heartbreak right now. A young, vibrant 20-year-old woman named Cynsire Keyasia Love has tragically passed away. Her sudden loss has left the whole community completely shook and scrambling for answers.
It all started back on June 16 when local emergency responders rushed to the scene after reports of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood. When police officers arrived, they found Cynsire suffering from critical gunshot wounds. The shooter had used a 9-millimeter handgun in what authorities are calling a domestic-related attack.
Cynsire didn’t give up easily and fought hard for her life in the days that followed. She managed to hold on for more than a week, showing incredible strength despite her severe injuries. Sadly, she passed away ten days later on June 26, leaving her family and loved ones totally devastated.
Those who knew Cynsire remember her as a bright young woman whose whole life was full of promise. She had a kind soul and a big personality that left a lasting footprint on everyone she met. Now, her friends and family are clinging tightly to the sweet memories she left behind.
The man behind the trigger was quickly identified by law enforcement as Anthony Nasir Sincere Hardy. He was arrested and hit with heavy charges right out of the gate for the violent assault. Police initially slapped him with a massive one-million-dollar bond and told him to stay far away from Cynsire’s family.
Things got a whole lot more serious for the suspect during his first court appearance on Tuesday, June 30. Judge Sandra Ray looked at the gravity of the situation and ordered Hardy to be held with absolutely no bond. He is currently locked up tight inside the New Hanover County Detention Center as the murder investigation moves forward.
As the shocking news continues to spread across Wilmington, a massive wave of sympathy and support keeps pouring in for the grief-stricken family. The Love family is sticking together through this nightmare and plans to announce official funeral and memorial arrangements at a later date.
