Levittown, Pennsylvania — David Pawlowski, a 31‑year‑old father and local resident, lost his life in a painful collision on Veterans Highway during snowy weather conditions on Sunday evening. Friends and neighbors are still reeling from the news, remembering him as someone who loved his family and was always there for the people around him.
Police and emergency crews were called to the scene near the Hong Luck restaurant along Veterans Highway around 6:05 p.m. on January 18. Snowflakes were falling, roads were slick, and drivers across Bucks County were already feeling the pinch of winter when Pawlowski’s SUV suddenly slipped out of control.

According to investigators, Pawlowski was driving his white Genesis GV80 southbound when he lost traction on the icy pavement. His vehicle veered across the center line and slammed into a brown Range Rover that was headed northbound. The impact was so severe that Pawlowski’s SUV flipped over and came to rest on its roof. He was the only person in his vehicle.
Firefighters from the William Penn Fire Company and crews from nearby departments worked through the falling snow to manage traffic and start lifesaving efforts. Sadly, Pawlowski was pronounced dead at the scene. The two people in the Range Rover were shaken but not seriously hurt and stayed to speak with police.
The Middletown Township Police Traffic Safety Unit is digging into what happened, reviewing road conditions and other factors that might have played a role. Officers have asked anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to reach out to them, hoping that more information might fill in missing details.
In the days after, friends have shared stories about Pawlowski’s kindness. On social media and in quiet conversations, people described him as dependable and loving, especially toward his wife and young child. A community fundraiser to help the family has drawn support from all over the area, an early sign of how many lives he touched.
This crash is a stark reminder of how quickly winter weather can turn a normal drive into a tragedy. Police are urging drivers to slow down and stay alert when snow and ice make roads unpredictable. As the investigation continues, authorities are expected to release more details, and they’re asking the public to respect the Pawlowski family’s privacy during this hard time.
