Indy Far East Side: Two Adults Dead, Teen Hurt in Early-Morning Shooting

Early Sunday on the far east side of Indianapolis, gunshots shattered the quiet around Pointe Club Road just after 1 a.m. Two men are dead and a juvenile is recovering after a triple shooting that rattled neighbors and sparked a police investigation.

Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department raced to the 2700 block of Pointe Club Road, near North German Church Road and East 30th Street, after a 911 call reported someone shot. When they arrived, they found three males with gunshot wounds.

Medics rushed all three to nearby hospitals. One of the adults died shortly after reaching medical care. Hours later, the second adult succumbed to his injuries, leaving family and friends grappling with sudden loss.

Police say the juvenile victim was also shot, but is now in stable condition. Officials have not released names or ages as they work to notify loved ones and gather more facts.

Detectives described the scene as chaotic, with neighbors saying they were jolted awake by the sound of gunfire. Some residents reported emergency vehicles flooding the neighborhood in the moments after the shots.

At this stage, investigators have not identified any suspects or determined a motive. Police are reviewing video from nearby homes and businesses and interviewing anyone who may have seen something before or after the violence.
