He lost his life on Wednesday afternoon in a terrible motorcycle crash. The entire neighborhood is completely heartbroken by the sudden news.
The accident happened right in the middle of a busy day. Emergency workers rushed to the scene around 1:30 p.m. They found Jake at the corner of Hanley Road and Carmichael Road. His motorcycle had collided with a pickup truck. First responders tried their absolute best to save him right there on the pavement.
Jake did everything he was supposed to do to stay safe. Police confirmed that he was wearing his helmet during the ride. Paramedics quickly moved him to a nearby hospital. Sadly, his injuries were just too severe. He passed away shortly after arriving at the medical center.
Jake was famous around these parts for his incredible food. He was the passionate co-owner of South Ridge Ranch Bacon. His business was a true staple of our local food scene. People looked forward to buying his delicious small-batch bacon every single week.
