Brooklyn Olga Elena Bracero: A 58-year-old vegan chef’s life cut short in a late-night home tragedy.
Olga Elena Bracero, 58, was found unconscious inside her Park Slope residence at 386 2nd St. near Fifth Avenue around 8 p.m. on Saturday. She had multiple stab wounds. Emergency responders arrived quickly but pronounced her dead at the scene. The apartment, once described by neighbors as calm on the outside, became the center of a devastating double death.

Police later identified her daughter, Kayla Wilson, 23, who was also found unconscious inside the same residence. She had sustained multiple stab wounds as well. Officers discovered her during a search of the apartment after finding the mother. She was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the incident unfolded inside the home, with Wilson allegedly stabbing her mother before turning the same weapon on herself. The sequence is still being examined, but early findings point to a murder-suicide.
Neighbors described Olga Bracero as a hardworking vegan chef who had been trying to manage growing concerns at home. Some said she had previously reached out for help regarding her daughter’s mental health struggles. One neighbor recalled a call where she mentioned her daughter walking around the house with a knife.
There were also accounts suggesting Wilson’s condition had worsened after exposure to substances during a trip to Jamaica. Residents said the situation inside the apartment had become increasingly unstable in recent months, even if much of it stayed behind closed doors.
The building itself carries a disturbing history. In January 2024, another murder-suicide occurred there when Jason Jackson shot and killed his girlfriend, Olga Kirshenbaum, before taking his own life inside a Park Slope apartment.
Now, investigators are left with another double death in the same location, raising new questions about warning signs that may have gone unnoticed until it was too late.
