Santa Rosa County is still reeling after a joyful young woman’s life ended in a sudden, tragic crash Saturday evening. Around 6:55 p.m., on Lakefield Lane in Jay, a side‑by‑side ATV veered off the road, flipped onto its roof, and sent 23‑year‑old Sierra Elizabeth Robinson of Brewton, Ala., flying from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead shortly after the wreck.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the ATV was heading east when it drifted onto the southern shoulder of the road. The driver overcorrected, the vehicle rolled, and Robinson was ejected. Four others in the ATV were hurt, including two toddlers, a 2‑year‑old girl and a 1‑year‑old boy, both from Brewton, who sustained minor injuries.

Also injured were the 45‑year‑old woman driving the ATV, from Jay, and a 67‑year‑old woman from Brewton. First responders treated them at the scene before they were taken to local hospitals. All four of the injured are expected to recover.
Neighbors and friends describe Sierra as full of life, always quick with a smile and a warm word. Her loss has hit both the Santa Rosa County and Brewton communities hard, leaving loved ones struggling to make sense of a single moment that changed so much.
Investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit are working to piece together exactly how the crash happened and what factors led to the vehicle overturning. That work is ongoing and will take time to complete.
Sierra’s family has asked for privacy as they grieve. Funeral plans have not yet been finalized, and family members are making arrangements quietly.
In a small town, everyone seems to have a memory of Sierra — a laugh shared at school events, a wave in the grocery store, warm greetings at community gatherings. Her sudden death has underscored how quickly life can change, and how deeply a single person can be missed.
Friends are already planning informal gatherings to celebrate her life, to share stories and photos, and to support one another in the days ahead. The community continues to rally around the families of all who were injured
