OKLAHOMA CITY MAN KILLED AFTER EARLY MORNING SHOOTING AT NORTH PORTLAND AVENUE

Oklahoma City was shaken early Saturday when a young man lost his life in a shooting that lit up the quiet blocks of North Portland Avenue. The victim, 19‑year‑old Nestor Aguilar, was found with gunshot wounds in the early hours of March 21.

Police say they were called just after 3 a.m. to the 3100 block of North Portland Avenue after reports of gunfire. Officers arriving on the scene found Aguilar seriously hurt and in need of immediate help.

Paramedics worked quickly at the scene and rushed Aguilar to a nearby hospital. Hospital staff later told police that he had died from his injuries despite all efforts to save him.

Investigators believe the shooting happened after an argument in a parking lot not far from where Aguilar was found. People in the area reported hearing raised voices before the sound of gunshots.

At this point, police have not released a clear reason for the disagreement or identified exactly what set off the violence. Officials say they are still piecing together what happened that morning.

No one has been charged yet in connection with Aguilar’s death. Detectives are asking anyone who saw something or has information to talk to them.

The loss of such a young life has left neighbors upset and eager for answers as the community awaits more details on this active investigation.
