Louisville, Ky — A man identified as Yancy is dead following a shooting in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood, and police say a suspect is now in custody on serious charges including murder.
Louisville Metro Police responded around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday after reports of gunfire near Terry Road and Paradise Lane. When officers arrived, they found a man inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police later confirmed that the man inside the vehicle was known as Yancy, though his full identity has not been publicly released.
Investigators say the shooting did not actually happen where the vehicle was found. Evidence shows it began in the 6300 block of Player Drive before the car ended up near Terry Road and Paradise Lane.
The situation quickly escalated as detectives worked through the scene, trying to piece together how the events unfolded and what led to the deadly encounter.
On Monday, police arrested 54-year-old Anthony Williams in connection with the case. He has been charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Homicide Unit remains actively involved in the investigation as they work to establish a clearer motive and timeline.
