Three older men visiting Central Florida were shot and killed outside a vacation rental home near Kissimmee on Saturday afternoon in what authorities are calling a “cold-blooded, senseless” act of violence with no known motive, according to law enforcement officials.
The victims — 70-year-old Robert Luis Kraft of Holland, Michigan, 68-year-old Douglas Joseph Kraft of Columbus, Ohio, and 68-year-old James John Puchan of Columbus, Ohio — were found lying in front of the property with gunshot wounds just after noon. They had been staying at the house while visiting Florida and had delayed their departure because of car trouble.

Around 12:13 p.m. Saturday, deputies from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to 296 Indian Point Circle in the Indian Hill Subdivision after 911 calls about gunfire. First responders arrived to find the three men dead at the scene.
Investigators quickly located 29-year-old Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, who lived in the house next door to the rental property. He was taken into custody about an hour after the shooting and booked into the Osceola County Jail on three counts of first-degree murder and an additional charge of resisting arrest without violence. At his first court appearance, a judge denied bond.
Sheriff Christopher Blackmon described the killings as “cold-blooded” and “premeditated,” stressing that there was no known relationship or conflict between Bojeh and the victims. Authorities believe the act was random and that the victims were chosen simply because they happened to be outside their rental home when the violence occurred.
Bojeh’s past includes a 2021 shooting incident at a Kissimmee gas station, in which shots were fired into random vehicles and one man was injured. He was initially charged with attempted murder and other offenses, but court records show he was acquitted by reason of insanity and released. Neighbors and officials have since pointed to his repeated contact with law enforcement over the years.
Family members say the three men were in Florida to attend a car show, enjoying a trip together before the fatal encounter. Their loved ones have described them as close friends who shared decades of memories. The investigation into the shooting remains active as authorities continue to piece together how such a random act of violence unfolded.
