CINCINNATI — Detectives are searching for answers after Micha Willis, 22, and D’Ariz Bray, 19, were shot and killed early Wednesday in the Villages at Roll Hill community. The shooting happened around 2 a.m., setting off a fast-moving investigation that remains active.
Officers were alerted by a ShotSpotter activation that detected gunfire in the area. When police reached the scene, they found both victims with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, the two young men were pronounced dead on site.

Several blocks were shut down as crime scene units moved in. Flashing lights filled the complex while investigators searched for shell casings, witnesses, and any sign pointing to who pulled the trigger. Residents watched from behind police tape, shaken by the violence so close to home.
Footage from WLWT captured a car crashed into a playground within the secured area. The damaged vehicle added another layer of mystery to the scene. Police have not said whether the crash happened before, during, or after the shooting.
So far, investigators have not identified any suspects publicly. They have also not shared what may have led up to the gunfire. Detectives continue canvassing the area and reviewing possible surveillance footage.
The deaths of Willis and Bray mark another painful chapter for a community that has seen its share of violence. Neighbors described being awakened by loud pops and then sirens cutting through the night.
Police are asking anyone with information to step forward as they work to determine exactly what happened and who is responsible. For now, the case remains open, and the search for answers continues in Roll Hill.
