Harrington was shaken late Thursday night when a 27‑year‑old woman from nearby Frederica lost her life in a single‑vehicle crash. The collision happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Carpenters Bridge Road, just east of Jackson Ditch Road, according to state police reports.
Officials say the Nissan Pathfinder the woman was driving failed to follow a gentle curve in the road. The SUV went off the north side of the pavement and struck a tree hard.
