Monroe County Crash: Jarhaad Bass Killed in Late-Night I-75 Rollover

Monroe County, Georgia — A 25-year-old man from Macon, Jarhaad Bass, lost his life late Wednesday night after a single-vehicle crash on an I-75 southbound entrance ramp near Johnsonville Road. The incident happened just before midnight and left a community in shock.

Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to the scene around 11:58 p.m. when reports came in of a vehicle overturned on the ramp. When they arrived, they found a Honda Accord that had left the roadway and flipped.

According to officials, Bass was driving the vehicle when he lost control for reasons still under investigation. The car veered off the ramp and overturned, causing him to be thrown from the vehicle.

Emergency responders reached the scene quickly but confirmed that Bass had already died from his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the location of the crash.

Authorities have not released details about what may have caused the loss of control. Investigators are still working through the circumstances surrounding the late-night wreck.
