Sandy Lake Township, Pennsylvania: A quiet community is waking up to grief after a devastating house fire claimed the lives of a mother and her two children on Walnut Street early Thursday morning, April 16, 2026.

The home was reported to emergency services as fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews rushed to the scene and found the structure already deep in fire, with heavy smoke and intense heat making rescue efforts extremely difficult.
