Washington D.C. WHCD Shooting: Cole Tomas Allen Manifesto and Threat Claims Under Investigation

New details have emerged in the investigation tied to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting case involving suspect Cole Tomas Allen. Authorities say the case is now expanding as investigators dig deeper into his background, writings, and communications before the incident.

Officials confirmed that a written manifesto linked to Allen was recovered. It allegedly outlined intentions to target U.S. administration officials. Investigators say the document is now a central piece of evidence in understanding what led up to the attack.

Law enforcement also reviewed Allen’s online activity. Reports indicate his social media contained strong political and religious statements. Some of the content was described by investigators as critical of former President Donald Trump and containing anti-Christian expressions.

A key development came from within his own family. Allen’s brother reportedly contacted the New London Police Department in Connecticut before the incident after receiving alarming messages believed to include parts of the manifesto. That warning is now being reviewed as part of the timeline.

Authorities from multiple agencies, including federal investigators and local police, also interviewed Allen’s sister, Avriana Allen. During that interview, she described a pattern of increasingly extreme statements made by her brother in recent years.

She also stated that Allen had purchased two handguns and a shotgun from a licensed firearms retailer. According to her, the weapons were stored at the family home without the parents being aware. She added that he regularly visited shooting ranges to practice.

Investigators are also examining Allen’s reported associations. His sister mentioned a group known as “The Wide Awakes,” though officials have not confirmed the nature of that connection. She also referenced his attendance at a “No Kings” protest in California.

The investigation remains active. Authorities say they are still working to understand how much planning was involved, whether warning signs could have prevented the incident, and if any external influence played a role.
