The Lake Township Police Department says first responders arrived around 10:45 p.m. after a call reporting a person shot and found Moore with fatal injuries.

Moore, a sophomore at Woodmore High School, was described by those who knew her as a bright, caring young woman who lit up every room she walked into. Teachers and coaches have spoken of her dedication both on and off the field, and classmates describe a friend who was always ready to help.
