Shallowater Texas was shaken Friday night when Mustang boys basketball coach Jay Lusk, his wife and their young son were involved in a serious car accident on their way home from San Antonio. The crash happened near Eden as the family made the long drive back after the Shallowater girls basketball team’s state title game. All three were rushed to a hospital in San Angelo. Miraculously, doctors say each of them is expected to recover fully.

Late Friday evening, emergency crews arrived at the scene and worked quickly to treat everyone involved. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured and taken for care, and officials now say that person is expected to recover as well.
