Mickey Manulkin is dealing with every parent’s absolute worst nightmare. His happy four-year-old boy used to be completely full of joy. Everything changed just a few weeks after the toddler started his new classes at the Cedartown First Methodist Preschool back in March.
The warning signs did not all show up at one time. First, it was just small shifts in the boy’s normal day-to-day routine. The family originally figured the little guy was just having a hard time adjusting to a brand-new school environment.
Soon enough, things took a real turn for the worse. The little boy completely stopped sleeping through the night. He started having regular bathroom accidents, which was totally out of character for him, and he began throwing major tantrums over tiny things.
By June 10, the entire situation finally hit a massive breaking point. The boy had an incredibly intense meltdown right at home. Mickey knew deep down that something was seriously wrong, so he decided to ask his son straight up if someone had been touching him inappropriately.
The boy’s honest answer completely broke his father’s heart. The four-year-old looked right at him and said yes. He then went into graphic details that no kid that young should ever even know, explaining that it happened multiple times and that photos were taken.
Mickey is speaking out publicly now because he wants to make sure other children stay safe. He says his son is carrying deep trauma and is simply not the same carefree kid he used to be. The family is doing everything they can to help him heal up and live a normal life.
The heartbroken dad is demanding absolute justice for his little boy. He promises he is not going to stop fighting until the person responsible pays for what they did. For now, he is staying right by his son’s side while local police dig into the case.
