Thomasville, Georgia turned into the center of a statewide emergency Sunday evening after a two-year-old girl, Keilana Butler, was reported missing from a local motel. Authorities quickly activated an AMBER Alert as concern grew over the child’s safety.
The incident began around 6 p.m. at the Red Roof Inn in Thomasville. Police say Keilana was taken under circumstances that triggered an immediate and urgent response from law enforcement agencies across Georgia.

Keilana Butler is described as a Black female toddler with black hair and brown eyes. At the time she went missing, she was wearing an orange and pink tank top, black shorts, and baby shark-themed slides.
Investigators identified the suspect as Lavinciano Rasanad Butler, a 34-year-old Black male. He is described as being about 5’10” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds. Authorities believe he was responsible for taking the child from the location.

Officials urged the public to stay alert and report any sightings immediately. Citizens were told to call 911 if they saw the child, the suspect, or the vehicle, stressing that the situation involved a young child considered to be in extreme danger.
As the search expanded, multiple agencies joined efforts to locate both Keilana and the suspect. The urgency of the alert spread quickly through the region, with residents sharing information and watching for the vehicle description.
