A warm summer night turned into a complete nightmare for a local family. John Cram was out enjoying a ride on his motorcycle when everything changed in a split second. The thirty-year-old never made it back home after a terrible crash took his life.
The whole thing went down on the night of June 18, 2026. It was right around 8:56 p.m. when the peace was shattered at a local intersection. Police rushed out to Cherry Street and Dysart Road after several emergency calls came rolling in.

John was cruising westbound on his sleek 2022 Kawasaki Ninja. He was not alone on the bike that night. Thirty-two-year-old Kelsey Huyck was riding right along with him as his passenger, enjoying the evening breeze.
Out of nowhere, a 2008 Chrysler Sebring headed eastbound on Cherry Street made a sharp turn. The driver tried to head left onto Dysart Road but completely cut off the oncoming motorcycle. The bike simply had absolutely nowhere to go.
The impact was incredibly violent and sent both riders flying off the motorcycle. First responders arrived at the scene within minutes to find a chaotic situation. They rushed both John and Kelsey to a nearby hospital with very severe injuries.
Doctors and nurses did everything they could to save John. Sadly, the young man passed away at the hospital from the injuries he suffered. Kelsey is still sitting in a hospital bed right now, dealing with serious conditions.
This heartbreaking loss marks a dark milestone for the local area. It is the tenth deadly traffic accident in the city for the year. This latest crash officially brings the community’s total traffic death toll up to eleven.
