Springville, Alabama: Chance Mitchell Lawrence Taylor, 38-Year-Old Driver, Killed After Pickup Slams Into Tree

Springville, Alabama: A quiet morning drive turned deadly when a 38-year-old man lost his life after his pickup truck left the roadway and struck a tree.

The victim has been identified as Chance Mitchell Lawrence Taylor, a Springville resident.
The crash happened Thursday at about 8:35 a.m. along St. Clair County 32 near Clayton Road, roughly five miles west of Springville.

Authorities said Taylor was driving a 2001 Chevrolet S10 when the vehicle suddenly drifted off the road for reasons still under investigation.

The truck then crashed into a tree with significant force, leaving Taylor seriously injured at the scene.

Emergency responders rushed him to UAB St. Vincent’s East Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Officials confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the roadway remained clear except for Taylor’s truck.

Investigators from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division spent the morning gathering evidence and studying the road conditions to determine what caused the vehicle to leave the highway.

The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details about possible contributing factors.

The Springville community is now left grieving the sudden and painful loss of Taylor as family and friends wait for answers.
