St. Louis Ronald Milton Remembered After Parking Lot Shooting Shakes Halls Ferry Road Community

St. Louis Ronald Milton was killed in a sudden shooting that stunned a local community already familiar with his food truck on Halls Ferry Road.

On Sunday evening, April 19, 2026, Ferguson Police responded at about 6:26 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 10900 block of New Halls Ferry Road.

Officers arrived to a parking lot scene near a food truck area and found three adults suffering from gunshot wounds.

The adult male victim, later identified as 41-year-old Ronald Milton, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Two adult women were also injured in the shooting. Both were taken to hospitals and are expected to survive their injuries.

Investigators say the shooting came from an unknown suspect who fired from a vehicle into a crowd gathered near the food truck before speeding away from the scene.

Milton was widely known in the area for his barbecue business, often serving customers along Halls Ferry Road near I-270, where he built a strong local following.

Community members and local business owners have since raised a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case, as grief and frustration continue to grow.

Police are asking anyone who saw suspicious driving or captured any useful details to come forward, with tips directed to Ferguson detectives at 636-529-8210.
