Kingston Lebron Kelly, Greenville County: Club Fusion robbery investigation ends in murder arrest

What started as an armed robbery investigation outside a Greenville nightclub has now turned into a homicide case that left a young man dead and another teenager behind bars.

Authorities in Greenville County said 18-year-old Kingston Lebron Kelly has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime following the shooting death of 25-year-old Brykevious Santwan Williams. Investigators said the deadly incident was connected to an earlier armed robbery tied to Club Fusion on East North Street.

Deputies responded to Leacroft Drive on May 16, 2026, after reports of a shooting involving a vehicle. When emergency crews arrived, they found Williams suffering from a gunshot wound inside the car. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition while detectives began working to understand what happened during the violent encounter.

For several days, Williams fought for his life in the hospital. But on May 22, officials confirmed that he had died from his injuries. Investigators later ruled the case a homicide, turning the shooting investigation into a murder case that quickly gained attention across Greenville County.

According to investigators, the shooting did not happen randomly. Detectives believe it was directly connected to an armed robbery that happened earlier at Club Fusion. While authorities have not publicly revealed the exact chain of events, they said evidence collected during the investigation and statements from witnesses helped identify Kelly as the suspect.

Kelly was later taken into custody and booked into the Greenville County Detention Center, where officials confirmed he is being held without bond. The sheriff’s office has not announced whether more arrests are expected, but detectives said the investigation remains active as they continue piecing together the timeline surrounding the robbery and shooting.

The death of Williams has shaken people close to him, especially as many struggle to understand how a robbery investigation escalated into deadly violence. Friends and relatives are now mourning a life they believe ended far too soon, while waiting for more answers from investigators handling the case.

Authorities are continuing to ask members of the public to come forward with any information connected to the robbery at Club Fusion or the shooting on Leacroft Drive. Detectives believe additional witness accounts could help fill in the missing details surrounding the final moments before Williams was shot.
