The Pasco community is mourning after 17-year-old Dallin Persons died following a collision involving his e-bike and an SUV at the intersection of Road 60 and Burns.
Police say the SUV was traveling eastbound on Burns and entered the intersection with the right-of-way when the crash happened.
Investigators believe Dallin’s e-bike entered the intersection at the same time, leading to the deadly impact.
Authorities also noted that the teen was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, though they stressed the findings are still preliminary.
