The small community of Central, Indiana, is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 34-year-old Dustin Farmer, whose life was cut short in a devastating crash in Meade County, Kentucky. The tragedy happened on the afternoon of May 29 and has left loved ones struggling to come to terms with an unexpected loss that has shaken many people who knew him.
According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened around 3:27 p.m. on Bypass Road near High Street in Brandenburg. Investigators said Farmer was driving a 2017 Subaru WRX northbound when the vehicle crossed into the center turn lane and entered the path of an oncoming 2015 Ford F-150.

The two vehicles collided head-on in a violent impact. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but Farmer was pronounced dead there. Authorities said there was nothing that could be done to save him.
The Ford F-150 was occupied by a woman and two children. The woman suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to UofL Hospital for treatment. The two children were also seriously hurt and were taken to Louisville-area hospitals for emergency care.
Back home in Central, friends and family members have been sharing memories of Farmer while supporting one another through an incredibly painful period. Many described the news as shocking and difficult to accept, especially given how suddenly the tragedy unfolded.
