Deshawn Davis, Homewood: Witness Says Dirt Bike Slammed Into Transit Bus Before Fatal Crash

A Saturday evening ride through Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood ended in tragedy when 33-year-old Deshawn Davis lost his life after a dirt bike crash involving a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus.

The deadly collision happened around 5:55 p.m. at the busy intersection of Brushton and Frankstown avenues. Emergency crews rushed to the scene after reports came in about a crash involving an 86-Liberty bus and a dirt bike.

Officials later identified the victim as Deshawn Davis, a Pittsburgh resident. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene shortly after arriving. The sudden loss left witnesses stunned as police and transit investigators secured the area and began piecing together what happened.
