According to investigators, the crash happened around 2:37 a.m. on the elevated connector ramp linking westbound State Highway 358, also known as South Padre Island Drive, to northbound State Highway 286, the Crosstown Expressway. Authorities said a single vehicle slammed into a concrete barrier before overturning.
