St. Paul Downtown: Adarius Glees Shot Dead Outside Apartment

St. Paul Downtown: The community is grieving after the death of Adarius Glees, 27, who was shot late Thursday night in downtown St. Paul. The incident happened near the 200 block of East Seventh Street close to Sibley Street.

Police said officers were called around 8:50 p.m. after reports of gunfire in the area. When they arrived, they found Glees outside an apartment building suffering from a gunshot wound.

In a heartbreaking detail, investigators said he had called 911 himself after being shot, asking for urgent help as the situation unfolded.

Officers immediately began providing emergency aid at the scene while waiting for paramedics. He was then rushed to Regions Hospital by the St. Paul Fire Department.

Despite efforts to save him, Glees later died from his injuries at the hospital. His death has left family and friends in deep shock.

Those who knew him, including people who referred to him as KC “CallmeBenji,” are remembering him as someone who mattered deeply in their lives.

Police confirmed the shooting is still under active investigation. No arrests have been made, and officials say there is no ongoing threat to the public.

As the investigation continues, the community is left holding onto memories of Glees and struggling to accept the sudden loss.
