A quiet home in Greenburgh’s Parkway Homes neighborhood turned into the center of heartbreak Thursday afternoon, leaving three members of the same family dead in what police believe was a deeply personal and devastating act.
Officers arrived at 351 Parkway Homes Road around 1:20 p.m. after a welfare check was requested. What they found inside was grim. Three people, all suffering from gunshot wounds, were discovered within the residence. The victims were later identified as 76-year-old homeowner Robert Watson, his daughter Cherika Johnson, 50, and her 23-year-old son, Jaden Johnson.
Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The third was rushed to Westchester Medical Center but did not survive. Investigators quickly began piecing together what had happened inside the home, describing it as an isolated domestic incident with no threat to the wider public.
