Portsmouth Virginia was shaken late Saturday night after a deadly shooting claimed the life of Christopher M. Blair, 47, in the Mayflower Road area. The incident unfolded on April 18, 2026, leaving neighbors stunned by the sudden violence in what many described as a quiet street.

Police say officers were called to the 200 block of Mayflower Road around 10:44 p.m. after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found Blair suffering from a gunshot wound outside the residence.
