A fatal stabbing in Kent has left a 31-year-old man dead after a violent incident on a sidewalk near West Meeker Street. The victim has been identified as Joseph Christopher Moore, a resident of Kent.
Authorities confirmed that Moore suffered a stab wound to the shoulder during the attack. The injury proved fatal, and his death has been officially ruled a homicide by the medical examiner.

The incident happened on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, near 1711 West Meeker Street. Police responded after reports came in about a man seriously injured on the sidewalk.
Moore was rushed for medical attention after emergency crews arrived at the scene. Despite efforts to save him, officials confirmed that he died the following day, on April 8, 2026.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified him and confirmed the cause of death as a stab wound to the shoulder. The ruling classified the case as a homicide.
Kent Police have since continued their investigation into what led up to the deadly encounter. Officers have been working the area and reviewing available leads.
At this time, no arrests have been made. Investigators have also not released details about a possible suspect or motive connected to the stabbing.
