Just days after walking across the stage to celebrate his high school graduation, 18-year-old Jayden Wilson suddenly disappeared, leaving his family in Atlanta terrified and searching for answers. What should have been one of the happiest moments of his young life has now turned into a painful and emotional nightmare for the people closest to him.
Jayden was last seen on May 21 near the Evelyn G. Lowery Library at Cascade in southwest Atlanta. According to his mother, Amber Coleman, nobody in the family has heard from him since. The silence has only deepened the fear surrounding his disappearance.
Family members said Jayden recently graduated from Charles R. Drew Charter School on May 16. They described him as a quiet young man who had never shown signs of wanting to run away or disappear. His mother said his actions are completely unlike him and have left the family shocked and confused.
In an emotional message shared online, Coleman said she has been “absolutely bewildered and beside herself” since her son vanished. She stressed that Jayden has never run away before and never behaved in a way that would prepare them for something like this.
The situation has become even more worrying because Jayden reportedly does not have a cellphone, tracking device, or reliable transportation. Relatives also said he does not drive and may not even have identification with him, making it harder to know where he could have gone or who he may be with.
His family believes he may have connections around the Cascade, Camp Creek, and Riverdale areas. They also noted that some relatives and family friends live in Indiana, though there is no confirmed information showing he traveled there.
Coleman said her son has never truly lived on his own and does not have a strong support system in Georgia. Right now, she said, the family’s focus is not about punishment or questions. They simply want to know he is alive and safe somewhere.
The disappearance has sparked growing concern online, with community members sharing his information and urging anyone with knowledge about his whereabouts to speak up. Loved ones continue holding onto hope that Jayden will make contact soon and return home safely.
