Zachariah Paul Lewis Pollock Jasper County, Iowa: Rider lost on Highway 163 after sudden roadway departure

The early hours of Wednesday in Jasper County, Iowa, turned tragic when Zachariah Paul Lewis Pollock, 31, lost his life in a motorcycle crash along a familiar stretch of Highway 163. He was traveling east when the incident happened, cutting short a routine ride that never made it to its destination.

Pollock was riding a 2020 Harley Davidson Road Glide Limited motorcycle. He lived in Knoxville, a small Iowa city known for its tight-knit community and quiet streets. Friends and family there are now left grappling with sudden loss.

Authorities with the Iowa State Patrol reported that the motorcycle left the roadway for reasons still under investigation. The bike then overturned along the highway corridor between Prairie City and Monroe.
