Fayetteville, North Carolina — A quiet Daphne Circle neighborhood was stunned this week after police say a 17-year-old boy killed his own mother inside their home late Tuesday evening. Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department arrived around 7 p.m. and found 49-year-old Katharine Svaldi on the floor of their living room, suffering from multiple stab wounds. At the same address, police found and detained the suspect, later identified as Svaldi’s son, Isaac Tracy. Investigators say Tracy lived with his mother and was taken into custody without incident.
