Watts, Ky: Deanna Noble Dies After Head-On Crash on KY-15 In Breathitt County

Watts, Ky — A quiet stretch of Kentucky Route 15 turned deadly Wednesday in the Watts community of Breathitt County after a three-vehicle crash claimed the lives of two local residents.

According to the Kentucky State Police, the crash involved multiple vehicles and is still under active investigation. It happened when a Dodge Avenger, driven by 36-year-old Brandon Combs of Lost Creek, crossed the centerline for reasons that remain unclear.

That move set off a head-on collision with a Toyota Camry driven by 30-year-old Deanna Noble, also of Lost Creek. The impact was severe and immediate.

Troopers say Noble’s car was then pushed into the path of a third vehicle, leading to a second collision that added to the devastation on the roadway.

Emergency responders and the local coroner’s office arrived at the scene, but both Combs and Noble were pronounced dead where the crash occurred.

Authorities confirmed that both bodies were later transferred to the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsies as part of the ongoing investigation.

Officials have not yet released details on the condition of any other people who may have been involved in the third vehicle.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the Dodge Avenger to cross into oncoming traffic, with no conclusions announced at this time.
