HENDERSON — Jashia Wright Found Fatally Stabbed on Vincent Hoyle Road; Neighbor Arrested

Vincent Hoyle Road woke to sirens and confusion just after 2:40 a.m. Sunday when deputies from the Vance County Sheriff’s Office arrived at 187 Vincent Hoyle Road, Lot 7, and found 26-year-old Jashia Wright bleeding from multiple stab wounds in the front yard. She was rushed to Maria Parham Hospital, where she died despite emergency efforts. Family and neighbors are left stunned and grieving a life cut short.

Sheriff Curtis Brame called the death “tragic and heartbreaking” and praised deputies and investigators for their quick work. Authorities say the scene was secured swiftly and that the incident appears isolated, though the investigation remains active as detectives gather evidence and interview witnesses.

Within hours, deputies detained 24-year-old Naisha Wynn at the scene. Wynn was transported to the Vance County Sheriff’s Office and later charged with first-degree murder. She is being held in the Vance County Detention Center without bond pending further legal proceedings.

Friends and family described Jashia as someone with a bright future, now remembered in shock and sorrow. Neighbors who knew her say the neighborhood feels unsafe and shaken after such sudden violence so close to home. Small groups gathered, leaving flowers and messages near the property as word spread through Henderson.

Investigators ask anyone with information about the early-morning events to contact the Vance County Sheriff’s Office at 252-738-2200. Officials also noted tips can be given anonymously to local crime stoppers and through the P3 Tips app as they build the case.
