SPRING HILL, Fla. Man Killed in Loud Music Dispute Shooting

Spring Hill felt the shock of loss this week after 52‑year‑old Francis Biegaj died from gunshot wounds following a dispute over loud music at his own home. Neighbors say what began as a routine call about noise turned into a deadly confrontation that left a family grieving and a community stunned.

It happened Tuesday afternoon shortly after 4:30 p.m. at a residence on Gillian Drive. A family member called 911 to report Francis bleeding from a gunshot wound when deputies arrived. Emergency crews tried to save him, but he succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.

Investigators found shell casings in the driveway and spoke with a witness who told them the suspect, 47‑year‑old Tony Deuser, was seen walking away from Francis’s house with a pistol in hand. Deputies tracked Deuser to his own home nearby and established a perimeter. After repeated attempts to get him to come out, the Hernando County SWAT team convinced him to exit peacefully and took him into custody without further violence.

During questioning, Deuser reportedly told investigators he became upset with Francis over loud music playing at the neighbor’s home. According to the account, Francis wouldn’t lower the volume and told Deuser to leave the property. That confrontation escalated quickly, and Deuser said he shot Francis twice before returning to his residence.

Deuser now faces a charge of second‑degree murder and is being held without bond at the Hernando County Detention Center. The sudden death of Francis has left a deep void among his friends, family, and neighbors who knew him as a devoted father and a kind presence in the community.

In the wake of the tragedy, neighbors have described a close‑knit street rocked by this sudden violence. Those who knew Francis remember him for his generosity and steady support for friends, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. His passing has prompted an outpouring of support as loved ones gather to mourn and honor his life.

As the criminal case moves forward, many in Spring Hill are left asking how a simple noise complaint could end in such heartbreak. The county continues to process the incident, and friends and relatives are planning services to remember Francis’s life and legacy.
