Cullman County Crash: A quiet Sunday evening turned tragic on Alabama 91 near Cullman County 649, about six miles east of Holly Pond, when O’Neal Kelley, 84, and Martha Kelley, 79, lost their lives in a violent two-vehicle crash.

The couple was traveling together in a 2017 Nissan Rogue when their vehicle was struck by a 2011 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by 33-year-old Aaron C. Mitchell of Hanceville. The impact happened around 6:15 p.m. on April 12, according to state authorities.

O’Neal Kelley was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders worked urgently to assist Martha Kelley, who suffered critical injuries in the crash.
