It was a regular Wednesday afternoon on the F.E. Everett Turnpike when things took a terrible turn. Traffic was moving along the northbound lanes, just like any other day, until everything suddenly stopped near mile marker 7. That is where a horrific three-vehicle crash took the life of 69-year-old Theresa Douville.
Theresa was a well-known resident of Hooksett, and her sudden passing has completely shaken up her local community. To the people who knew her, she was far more than just a name in a police report. She was a deeply loved family member and a loyal friend who brought warmth to everyone around her.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, Theresa was driving her 2020 Honda CRV when the incident occurred. For reasons still under investigation, she could not slow down in time for the backed-up traffic ahead of her. Her vehicle struck the rear of an SUV, creating a destructive chain reaction.
The impact was severe enough to push the first SUV, an Infiniti QX60 driven by Gyna Santana, right into another Infiniti stopped just ahead. In an instant, a simple afternoon drive turned into a chaotic scene of twisted metal and shattered glass.
First responders from Nashua rushed to the scene immediately to help. Paramedics did everything they could right there on the turnpike, trying their best to save Theresa before rushing her to a nearby hospital. Sadly, her injuries were just too severe, and she passed away shortly after arriving.
The other drivers and several young children inside the SUVs were also taken to local hospitals. Fortunately, their trips were mostly a precaution to ensure everyone was completely fine after such a scary jolt. Meanwhile, police had to shut down three lanes of traffic for an hour to clean up the mess.
Now, Theresa’s family and friends are left to deal with an incredible amount of grief. They are asking the community to remember her for the love and happy memories she shared, rather than the awful tragedy on the highway. Her loss leaves a massive void that won’t be filled anytime soon.
