Jessica Turner, Nashville: Young biker loses control on highway ramp and is tragically struck by oncoming SUV.

Jessica Turner was just out for a morning ride in Nashville on Friday. It ended up being her last one. The 34-year-old local woman lost her life in a terrible motorcycle wreck.

The crash happened right on Interstate 24 East. It completely shut down the highway near the Harding Place entrance ramp. Metro Nashville Police rushed to the scene but she died right there.

Jessica was riding a brand new 2025 Kawasaki Ninja. She was heading eastbound and coming down the ramp just after 10 in the morning.

People driving by saw the whole thing happen. They told police she was flying down the road at a very high speed.

Suddenly, the bike veered off the road into a grassy patch by the shoulder. She tried to pull it back onto the blacktop but lost total control of the bike.

The motorcycle flipped over and slid across the pavement. It went straight into the path of a big Toyota Sequoia SUV. The driver could not stop, and the SUV struck Jessica and her bike.

Parts from the wreck flew through the air and hit a passing minivan too. Luckily, the drivers of the SUV and the minivan were completely fine. The highway stayed closed for hours while teams cleared the massive backup. Police say speed caused the wreck, and there was no sign of alcohol or drugs.
