Jonesboro Taylor Dobbins was killed on Wednesday afternoon after a violent multi-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 49.
The crash happened around 2:13 p.m. as rain made the roadway dangerously slick. A westbound 2015 Dodge Charger began to hydroplane and quickly lost control.

The vehicle crossed the centerline and slammed into an oncoming 2025 Nissan Rogue. The impact was severe and immediate, leaving both vehicles heavily damaged.
After the collision, the Dodge Charger veered off the road and overturned. Emergency crews rushed to the scene within minutes and tried to save those involved.
Despite all efforts, 41-year-old Taylor Dobbins of Jonesboro was pronounced dead at the scene. The news spread quickly, leaving family and friends in shock.
The driver of the Nissan Rogue, 44-year-old Penny Spaulding, was injured in the crash. She was taken to St. Bernards Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities confirmed that wet weather played a major role in the crash. Hydroplaning was identified as the key reason the driver lost control.
The highway was partially shut down for hours as investigators documented the scene and cleared debris. Officials are still reviewing how the sequence of impacts unfolded.
No charges have been announced. The case remains under routine investigation as officials piece together the final moments of the crash.
