For many on campus, she was more than staff. She was a steady guide. Students often turned to her for direction, encouragement, and calm advice when school life got tough.

Her work focused on helping young people stay on track academically. She supported students who needed structure, motivation, and someone who truly believed in them.

Claflin University President Dwaun J. Warmack described her passing as a deep loss for the entire institution. He said her presence would be greatly missed across the campus community.

Warmack also extended condolences to her family and asked the public to keep them in their thoughts during this difficult time.

In response to the loss, the university confirmed that grief counseling support will be made available through TimelyCare for students, faculty, and staff throughout the week.

As news spread, former students and colleagues reflected on her impact. Many described her as patient, firm when needed, and genuinely invested in student success.

Her passing has left a noticeable silence at Claflin, where her years of service built lasting relationships and shaped countless academic journeys.

At this time, university officials have not released details regarding memorial arrangements.
