Seven Fields: Madeline Spatafore Killed in Late-Night Home Shooting Tragedy

Seven Fields became the center of a heartbreaking domestic tragedy when 25-year-old Madeline Spatafore was found shot to death inside her home on Graywyck Drive in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Authorities say the incident is being treated as a murder-suicide involving her husband.

Spatafore was discovered by Pennsylvania State Police with multiple gunshot wounds inside the residence. Investigators believe the violence unfolded shortly after a disturbing phone call made in the middle of the night.

Around 1:15 a.m., her husband, 26-year-old Ryan Hosso, called his parents and confessed that he had killed his wife. The call immediately triggered alarm and set emergency response efforts in motion.

Hosso’s parents contacted Northern Regional Police after the call, reporting that their son had admitted to the killing and was now in a wooded area nearby, allegedly threatening to take his own life.

When officers arrived at the home, they found Spatafore deceased inside. The scene quickly expanded into a wider search of the surrounding area as investigators tried to locate Hosso.

His body was later discovered in a wooded area behind the residence in neighboring Cranberry Township. Authorities say he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police officials confirmed that the case appears to be domestic in nature and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active as authorities piece together the final moments leading up to the tragedy.

Spatafore worked as a Neurovascular Critical Care Physician Assistant at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, a role she had held since November 2024. She was known professionally for her commitment to critical care medicine.

She graduated from Seneca Valley High School before attending Duquesne University, where she was part of the honors college. Friends and colleagues describe her as focused and driven in her career and studies.
